HIGH  SCHOOL

Grades 9-12

AXIS is our high school ministry.

During our Sunday night gatherings, we meet in The Point (Entrance 4) for worship, games, teaching, and small groups. We start with a free, optional meal at 5:30 p.m. and officially start at 6:00. Join us to connect, grow, and be part of a dynamic experience that speaks to the heart of high school life.
Free Meal: We offer a free, home-cooked meal each week. Volunteer to bring food HERE.
Worship: Connect with God through live worship music from our own student-led worship band.
Games: No athletic ability is required for our ice-breaker games.
Teaching: Each series is Biblical and relevant to a teenager's life.
Small groups: We split up into small groups of the same grade and gender. Our dedicated leaders are thoroughly background-checked, trained, and passionate about guiding students in their journey to know Jesus.

Hey, I'm Candy!

I love worship and working with high school students. (They help keep me young.) I have a passion for coffee, farm animals, camping and helping students deepen their relationship with Jesus. Whether you are a student or a parent, I’m here to help you get connected. We also encourage  you to sign up for our email newsletter.

UNSTOPPABLE: The Birth of the Church (The Spark)

Sept. 13 - 27 | 3 Weeks | The Point
What made the first church so powerful? In this three-week journey through the opening chapters of Acts, we'll discover how ordinary people, empowered by the Holy Spirit, sparked a movement that changed the world. As we explore the birth of the Church, we'll challenge ourselves to rediscover our first love for Jesus and ask what it would look like for our generation to live with that same passion, purpose, and boldness.

Upcoming Events:

Sean McDowell Conference

Sean McDowell Apologetics Tour | Saturday, Sept 12 | 9 am- 4 pm
Central Community Church

High School students, join us at Central Community Church to hear from renowned speaker Sean McDowell. Sean has been speaking about Christian apologetics to young adults for decades. Listen as Sean teaches us how to handle atheist encounters, tough questions, and how to defend our faith.
The cost is $15 and includes a Chick-fil-A lunch. AXIS will be paying for the first 25 students who register!
Students will be responsible for their own transportation to Central Community Church.

Amazing Race

SAVE THE DATE: Saturday, October 3 - ALL DAY | $60
Registration Early-Bird deadline:  Sept. 27th
Join AXIS's Amazing Race: The Ultimate High School Adventure!
Are you ready to embark on an exhilarating journey of teamwork and fun? AXIS invites all high school students to participate in our annual event, where we pit each grade against the others. Inspired by the TV show, our teams travel around Wichita and Kansas, collecting clues to the next location by completing team-building tasks. The final destination is a mystery, and the first team to home base wins a pizza party for their grade during the school year.

H.S. Mission Trip

Saturday, March 13 - Saturday, March 20, 2027     |    Belize, Central America
Only 45 Spots Are Available

Join us as we serve alongside local churches and ministries in Belize! Students will have opportunities to experience a new culture, build relationships, share the hope of Jesus, and meet practical needs through ministries such as kids' programs, community outreach, home visits, feeding programs, and service projects.
Our goal is more than completing projects—we want students to see what God is doing through the local church in Belize and discover how He can use them to make a difference.
Interested in learning more? Join us for a Parent Informational Meeting on September 13th to hear trip details, expectations, costs, and next steps.

By signing up through the link below, your student can step into roles that align with their interests and passions. Sign up below.

Lead crafts, be a worship leader, assist a teacher, or be a small group leader!

Welcome

Greet familiar faces and make guests feel welcomed!

Corral and care for the littlest (and cutest!) kiddos in the church.

d-GROUPS

D-Groups, the dynamic discipleship arm of our high school ministry, designed to elevate your faith journey beyond Sunday nights. These short-term Bible studies dive into a variety of subjects, offering students in grades 9-12 a chance to explore their beliefs in a deeper, more meaningful way. Whether gathering in person or connecting digitally, D-Groups provide a flexible and engaging environment that encourages personal growth and spiritual development.

FUNDRAISING

While we cover as many costs as we can, several of our events throughout the year do include a registration fee.
To help with those expenses, we offer several fundraising opportunities  for students (... and their parents).
We love parents, and we love volunteers! When the two come together that makes our ministries WAY better! If you are a parent and feel led to volunteer in our AXIS ministry, we would love to connect and find a place for you to hang out with us during AXIS (Sunday Nights), meals, or events.
