OUR MISSION:
We exist to help people find and follow Jesus.
OUR VALUES:
We aim to be real people with a real faith making a real impact.
These aren't just catchy marketing phrases. This is why we exist. We want everyone to know who Jesus is, experience His love, and join the mission of helping others find true life. We know everyone comes to faith from various perspectives and we're all on our own journeys. Wherever you are today, you are welcome and we invite you to take the next step.
A little background...

We've been here for a while.
Our church family officially began in Wichita in 1943. We had 19 charter members who started meeting at 2nd & Millwood, officially calling themselves First Mennonite Brethren Church--First MB for short.
We've grown significantly over the years, eventually changing locations twice until we settled on our current campus on west 21st Street. We currently average about 1,000 attendees between our three Sunday services, along with a growing online presence.

A new day

We're not done yet!
In 2019, we began to feel a shift. While God has been so good to us throughout the years, we also realized we needed to make some changes. We weren't effectively reaching young adults and young families, and we understand that the world in front of us is significantly different from the world behind us.
We started talking about the "New Day" we believe God is leading us into (watch our "New Day" sermon series for more background). This included several big external changes (like our building expansion project!), but it also required a heart change. We're boldly moving into the future anchored to four specific words: Prayer, Risk, Surrender, & Joy.
To signify this shift, in 2021 we officially changed our name to Ridgepoint Church. We are largely the same group of people united in our vision and values, but we have new priorities and renewed energy to more effectively make a difference in our community.

We are currently under construction.
In March 2020 (yes, great timing), we began an ambitious building campaign to better reach young adults and young families in Wichita. Because of your generosity, construction is underway now building new spaces for our kids, students, adult classrooms, and important building renovations. We expect to be finished by June 2023. Exciting days are ahead (!), and for now we appreciate your flexibility as parts of our facility are unavailable.
