aroma  Coffeehouse  Manager  Job Description

Aroma Coffeehouse Manager will have a heart for serving God faithfully through the direction and enthusiasm they provide in every interaction with co-workers, guests and vendors. They will have a passion to make this coffeehouse a thriving business known for its quality in every area of its operations. The manager will assist the board of directors to carry out the mission of the coffeehouse. A positive attitude, excellent judgment skills, and the energy necessary to propel this business forward are of highest importance.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the coffeehouse
  • Handle finances and records as requested by the bookkeeper of Aroma Coffeehouse
  • Solve challenges presented by both guests and employees in a God-honoring manner
  • Oversee the cleanliness and the maintenance of the coffeehouse
  • Hiring and training of employees, and scheduling employees’ shifts
  • Maintaining inventory, ordering, and receiving product
  • Attend board meetings unless in executive session
  • Cooperate fully with Volunteer Coordinator and Events Coordinator
  • Available during operational hours and after hours in case of emergency

Necessary Skills And Qualifications:

  • Food safety certification
  • Basic money handling skills and accounting knowledge
  • Ability to effectively communicate with guests and employees
  • Self-motivated and inspiring
  • Ability to prioritize effectively
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Availability during business hours (may include nights, weekends and holidays)
  • High school diploma or equivalent 

Preferred Skill And Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Business or Hospitality
  • 2 years experience as a barista
