We aim to make a real impact in our community...

And the holiday season is a great time to put a little extra time, effort, and resources into giving back. This year we have three projects we invite you to consider.

The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God's love to children in need around the world. The main way they do this is by providing a shoebox full of Christmas gifts for kids who may not otherwise receive one. Beyond these gifts, these children also hear the good news of Jesus and are taken through the "Greatest Journey" discipleship course . Along with donating a shoebox of gifts, we could also use help processing and packing the boxes since Ridgepoint is a regional collection center.

Starting Sunday, November 7, we will have three Christmas trees setup in our lobby with ornaments ready for you to take home. Each ornament has an item for you to purchase or a dollar amount to donate to help us support one of our community impact partners. NEW! This year we also have a Kids Giving Tree, with special projects designed specifically for kids! We also have the option to give online to Multiply and Lighthouse (choose Lighthouse from the dropdown menu). NOTE: Several of the gifts this year have a specific deadline, so please check the dates as you choose your ornaments.

Here are the organizations we're supporting this year:
  • Youth Horizons, a local organization that aims to break the cycle of fatherlessness and poverty through mentoring.
  • Lighthouse Community Church, our sister church in the Oaklawn neighborhood, ministers to lower-income families in south Wichita.
  • Multiply, our denomination's global missions organization.
  • Enders Elementary School, a local school with many lower-income students where we partner with several after school programs.

Every year around Thanksgiving we give away 100% of one of our Sunday morning offerings. Join us Sunday, November 21 to learn more about these projects. Prepare your hearts to be generous! This year we're excited to partner with three great ministries:
  • City Church Pueblo. This MB church plant in Pueblo, Colorado (led by Pastor Mario Trujillo) is dramatically reaching lost people in a renovated downtown bar.
  • Aroma Coffeehouse. This new Ridgepoint ministry aims to bless our community in by providing an inviting space for people to meet, study, and encounter Jesus.
  • K&M (mission partners in the Himalayas). This family from Ridgepoint is serving in a restricted access country where they work with at-risk women.
(Be sure to select "Big Offering" from the dropdown menu. Giving will be open through Monday, November 29).
