We aim to make a real impact in our community.

We take following Jesus seriously, and one of the ways we do that is by choosing to invest our resources to impact others. During the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons, it is our tradition to find those who are in need, and give generously to help.

The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God's love to children in need around the world. The main way they do this is by providing a shoebox full of Christmas gifts for kids who may not otherwise receive one. Beyond these gifts, these children also hear the good news of Jesus and are taken through the "Greatest Journey" discipleship course . Along with donating a shoebox of gifts, we could also use help processing and packing the boxes since Ridgepoint is a regional collection center.

Starting Sunday, November 20, we will have Christmas trees setup in our lobby with ornaments ready for you to take home. Each ornament has an item for you to purchase or a dollar amount to donate to help us support one of our community impact partners. NOTE: Several of the gifts this year have a specific deadline, so please check the dates as you choose your ornaments.

Here are the organizations we're supporting this year:
  • Lighthouse Community Church: purchasing toys for their annual toy sale (deadline December 4)
  • Cessna After-School Bible Clubs: providing board games (deadline December 11)
  • Downtown Breakfast: donating funds for practical gifts for guests (deadline December 18)
  • Multiply: donating funds to buy chickens for a families in Myanmar (deadline December 18)

Every year around Thanksgiving, we give away 100% of a weekly offering outside of our budget to make an impact on our city and around the world. Join us Sunday, November 20 to learn more about these projects, and prepare your hearts to be generous!
This year we're excited to partner with three great projects:
  • CarePortal. This organization exists to help vulnerable children and families, most of whom are in the foster care system. This group works through local churches, providing individuals with an opportunity to meet real-time needs of kids in our community.
  • Naomi House in Thailand. Naomi House is a social enterprise and community development center in Chiang Mai, Thailand, that provides sustainable wage jobs for at-risk women and families, while also serving as a discipleship and leadership training platform for God’s Kingdom expansion.
  • Our South Campus. A few years ago, our church family was gifted a beautiful building in south Wichita. Our dream is to eventually plant a church in this community. A lot of work is already in progress, and these funds will help with practical needs around the facility to prep for future ministry.
Give toward these projects online between November 14 - November 27, (select ‘Big Offering’ from the drop-down menu), or by designated a check to the Big Offering and mailing it in or dropping it in an offering box at the back of the Worship Center.
