We  believe  in  investing  in  future  leaders.

The Challenge & The Opportunity

Research shows ministry leaders are aging and there are not enough young leaders ready to step into the upcoming vacancies. The Ridgepoint Leadership Academy looks to equip a new generation of ministry leaders who are trained and ready to multiply for God's glory.

Through high-quality instruction and hands-on ministry opportunities, we cultivate leadership skills centered around our core approach of knowing, doing, and being. Our goal is to intentionally target and invite young people with leadership potential to pursue a long-term ministry calling.

We currently offer two leadership opportunities:
Summer internships and nine-month residencies.

For both opportunities, we offer ministry tracks within the following ministry areas:
  • Kids (birth - 5th grade)
  • Students (6th -12th grade)
  • Media (graphic design, video, communications)
  • Video Games & Esports
  • Social Media
  • Worship
  • Missions
  • Discipleship

Summer Internships

Every summer Ridgepoint hires 6-10 college students or young adults exploring a call into ministry. We offer cohort-style teaching with practical skill development, one-on-one training with one of Ridgepoint's lead staff members, and practical exposure to multiple ministry areas. Each intern will complete a capstone project showcasing their skills and growth.

  • Paid positions, some part-time and some full-time.
  • Salary is $3,600 for full-time, 10 weeks. (Part-time positions are prorated based on the number of hours worked.)
  • Can be taken for college course credit if required by your institution.
  • Housing through a host home is available upon request at no additional cost.
  • Transportation is required.

Residency

(9 months, typically September - May)
Our residency program is designed for adults (typically in their mid-20s) pursuing a call into vocational ministry. This track is more intensive, with more in-depth leadership training, coaching from Ridgepoint's staff, and one-on-one mentoring. These positions are paid part-time with the expectation for the resident to find other work or financial support.

  • All positions are paid, part-time (15-20 hours/week). Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings are required.
  • Monthly stipend of $1,000 plus ministry expenses.
  • Job description will be crafted based on your gifting, experience, and chosen ministry track.
  • Housing through a host home is available upon request at no additional cost.
  • Transportation is required.
